Meet some of our Writing Coaches

I’m a playwright, editor, and writing teacher with a focus on arts education. I currently teach at Interlochen Arts Camp while traveling around the country for productions of my plays. I went to Columbia University as an undergrad, and I got my MFA at UT Austin as a Michener Fellow, a program for young writers that accepts less than one percent of applicants and provides over $100,000 of funding. I love helping students communicate what’s most important about their lives!
I graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University’s theatre and creative writing programs. Since 2016, I have worked as a high school English tutor, theatre educator, and freelance journalist. In addition, I have shared personal stories on stages throughout Chicago and D.C.. I love sharing my expertise and passion for storytelling with students!
I am a full-time English teacher and editor currently living in Tokyo, Japan. My extensive editorial experience includes working for two of Canada’s leading publishers, Doubleday Canada and Canadian Scholars’ Press. Although my experience ranges from creative fiction to educational non-fiction, I specialize in academic and language-learning materials. I earned an Honors Bachelor of the Arts degree in Book and Media Studies from the University of Toronto, and a post-graduate certificate in publishing from Ryerson University. When I’m not teaching or editing, I’m out exploring Japan.
