- Description: This lecture will discuss emotional intelligence and how it can help to maximize interactions within a team and with guests, particularly in the hospitality industry. The lecture will also touch on leadership styles, and how to practice emotional intelligence through self-awareness, empathy, appreciating other’s qualities, and negative competition. Finally, Dr. Cavelzani will tell the story of the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris and how they used emotional intelligence and situation leadership.
- Speaker: Dr. Alessandro Cavelzani & Mrs. Tanja Florenthal
- Mini Bio: Dr. Cavelzani is a graduate of Columbia University Medical School (New York). He is a member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis (IARPP), practicing for the last 15 years in Milan as an English-speaking psychoanalyst. He is a lecturer in Leading Human Capital and Emotional Intelligence at César Ritz Colleges, and visiting lecturer in Leadership at Grenoble Business School (France) and at Donau University (Austria). Dr. Cavelzani is also an active researcher.
