Participants: Teams from Sharakah Schools – Grade 10, 11 & 12

Greetings from American University of Sharjah, as part of Sharakah partnership activities, the Office of Enrollment Management has the pleasure of inviting your school and teams to participate in Sharakah Sports Festival 2020 (SSF 2020).

All activities are scheduled to take place concurrently between 09:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at AUS outdoor and indoor playgrounds.

We hope that the new tournaments will infuse new flavors, and give an opportunity to a larger number of students to participate in a competitive and entertaining environment. We have also prepared an exciting program for your crowd of supporters including entertaining games, competitions, scratch & win, and refreshments.

Students can take the SCAD Challenge for a chance at a scholarship

Your students can put their artistic vision on display for the opportunity to earn a scholarship at The University for Creative Careers. The SCAD Challenge competition gives students the opportunity to submit works of art to a panel of accomplished SCAD faculty. Entries must demonstrate creativity, innovation and a strong understanding of aesthetics.

Challenges are open to current juniors and seniors in high school as of the 2019-20 academic year. A panel of SCAD faculty will review and evaluate entries, and three winners will be selected from each category.

SCAD Challenge categories:
• 2-D design
• 3-D design and modeling
• Animation and game design
• Fashion
• Film
• Graphic design
• Performing arts
• Photography
• Writing

The next step for junior and senior entrants is to complete an undergraduate application for admission. Online applications and the SCAD Challenge entry must be submitted by 5:30 p.m. ET Monday, Feb. 17, 2020. Winners will be announced March 6, 2020.
